Background
The Porsche Umhlanga required a flooring solution for their basement to prevent and eliminate dust generated by concrete laitance. Additionally, they sought an opportunity to redesign the parking bay areas and enhance the overall appearance of the basement.

SolidKote Robust
Following the site inspection, the Solidkote Robust, a solventless, high-build epoxy flooring system, was recommended. This seamless flooring solution provides excellent abrasion resistance and is designed for ease of maintenance.
Challenges addressed
Due to significant dusting on the concrete surface, a double primer system was implemented. The Solidkote SB primer was applied first, followed by the Solidkote UP primer, effectively sealing the concrete substrate before the application of the Solidkote Robust finish.
