Warehouse Gets Superior Epoxy Floor Coating

Technical Finishes, manufacturer specialising in resin and cementitious products, recently provided a durable, wear-resistant floor coating for the warehouse of a major wholesale company that provides affordable merchandise and groceries. The flooring system requested needed to withstand wheeled traffic and have an aesthetically pleasing finish.

Yvette Watters, sales director at Technical Finishes, says after the wholesale company consulted with their technical team, a two component, solvent-free, high build epoxy floor topcoat called Solidkote Robust was selected for the warehouse facility. She says the epoxy system applied in a 1mm layer to the 3700m² warehouse, has no volatile organic compounds, is kind to the environment and is well-suited to storeroom and warehouse spaces.

According to Yvette, Solidkote Robust is the ideal solution for this space as it is wear resistant, has a seamless finish, is easy to clean and delivers a perfect finish. She says demarcation lines were developed throughout the warehouse, a walkway installed, and storage areas were demarcated for various product lines, enhancing the safety of the warehouse.
